This past week we had the opportunity to visit Lagoon for their seasonal Halloween event, Frightmares! A lot has changed since last year's event, and that's what we'll be discussing in this post!

First of all, let's talk about this awesome new sign on the front gate! Such an improvement over the old banners the park used to use.

As far as the overall Halloween themed decorations throughout the park, not much has changed. You're still greeted by a giant stack of jack-o-lanterns upon entering the event, and the park is still covered by fog! Now let's get to the mazes!

Lagoon has really stepped up their game recently when it comes to mazes! The featured mazes this year were Fun House, Terrors Of The Past, Pioneer Village Scare Zone, Frightening Frisco, and new for 2017, Malevolent Mansion! The returning mazes from last year were pretty much the same with a few exceptions, but what we really want to talk about is Malevolent Mansion! This maze is great! It's got a elaborate facade, it's a good length, and it's a huge improvement over the maze that previously occupied it's space, Zombie Lockdown. The overall theme of this maze is to the paranormal, so ghosts and theming you would expect to find in Disney's Haunted Mansion. Overall, we think Frightmares this year is a big improvement over last year!

Stay tuned for more blog posts coming soon!
